Join us for lunch on Thursday, February 29th at 11:30am!
The Martin Business Association has purchased tickets for a limited number of MBA members to attend the City of Martin event, A Reflection of Martin Black History. Lunch is included with the RSVP. Any MBA members wishing to attend should RSVP here.
MBA members who RSVP here do not need to register on Eventbrite.
Please RSVP by February 26th so we can plan for seating and lunch count.

The City of Martin, Tennessee, invites you to commemorate its 150th anniversary with a special event honoring Black History. Join us for a reflection of African-American heritage in Martin, Tennessee.
Speakers:
Johnny Shanklin
Martin Community Member & Retired AT&T Employee
Mr. Shanklin will give an overview of City of Martin Black History, offering insights into the contributions and resilience of the local Black community.
Tara Tansil-Gentry
Martin Community Member, UTM Hall of Famer and Health, & Human Performance Lecturer
Ms. Tansil-Gentry will highlight the legacy of Black history at UT Martin and touch on the achievements and progress within the university’s Black community.

Free admission, but pre-registration is required via Eventbrite.
- Lunch will be available for $12, but pre-registration is mandatory on Eventbrite. Lunch will include a gourmet sandwich, fruit bowl, chcolate chip cookie, chips and drink from Vantage Coffee Roasters.
Come together with the Martin community to honor and celebrate the contributions of black individuals withtn the past 150 years of Martins history.
